Church Planting & Development
In 2023, a group of 65 churches, under the leadership of Pastor David Awan, began communication with the FMC-USA. Since 1994, this group of churches has grown to about 10,000 members. They have had several associations over the years, but none fully lined up with who they were. As they searched for a denominational connection, they had three main criteria. They wanted a denomination open to women serving in ministry, having a genuine historical connection with the Church worldwide, and being eager for pastors to be well-trained in ministry. When they discovered the Free Methodist Church, they felt confident this denomination was the right choice for them.
